NYFW IS HERE: YOUR GUIDE TO MANHATTAN SHOPPING

Standard

NEW_YORK

It’s finally NYFW SS16 time. We’ve all perused (OK more like flipped through until our manicures chipped) our September issues, and now finally, FINALLY, we’re off to the shows.

If there’s any time to step up your style game, it’s Fashion Week. And if there’s any place to shop for these game-upping pieces, it’s New York.

Designer names are everywhere in Manhattan. You’ve got your Barneys and Begdorfs and Saks (oh my) which are obviously must shops, but then you have your smaller local merchants and indie boutiques that are — no offense to the big gals — way cooler and way more street-style-blog-snappable.

So just how should you spend your Giftbar gift cards this Fashion Week? Scroll it on down.

CURVE – SOHO

Look at the show schedule, then look at the designers carried at CURVE, and we bet our entire closet that you’ll see a lot of similarities.

HAUTE HIPPIE – SOHO & UPPER EAST SIDE

This boho-chic (emphasis on chic) brand has mastered that effortless style thing you’ve been trying to nail down for years now.

KIRNA ZABETE– SOHO

The too-cool-for-school boutique that all it-girls and celebs consider a must-shop. Think: high, high end, but definitely not stuffy. They’re too cool for that.

TIBI – SOHO

Even if you’re not going to the Tibi show, you still need to check out the brand’s SoHo boutique for sleek, modern, minimalist pieces that won’t fit in your suit case because you’ll spend all of your fashion gift cards (and more).

PAINTBOX – SOHO

Not only is it the coolest place in Manhattan for a mani, but it’s celeb-loved AND they come out with their own “collection” every season. Obsessed.

RITA HAZAN – MIDTOWN

She does Beyoncé’s hair. That is all.

EXHALE – TOO MANY LOCATIONS TO LIST

Photographers are everywhere, meaning your outfit, hair, and — yes — skin need to be on point. Pamper yourself before the stress (the fun kind) with one of the spa’s super relaxing and rejuvenating facials. No one likes extra shine.
