NYFW TRENDS = GIFT CARD SPENDS

NYFW

NYFW is over. Sad face. But now London’s calling, and your wardrobe is calling for an SS16 makeover—starring this season’s trends.

Let’s jump right into this, shall we?

(Note: All products shown can be purchased with your clothing gift cards at Forty Five Ten in Dallas aka the best local boutique in the world).

Trend #1: Orange is indeed the new black.

Sure, it’s not the color for everyone (sorry, redheads), but orange made an unforgettable appearance at NYFW in both Prabal Gurung and Jeremy Scott’s collections. But why wait? It’s the perfect on-trend shade to incorporate into your fall wardrobe before Spring 2016 even makes an appearance. Compared to the typical, mundane neutral tones of most fall fashion, a pop of orange will surely elevate any ensemble (and probably your mood).

Trend #2: But black & white is here to stay.

Black and white is a classic combo that will never, ever go out of style. Givenchy, Victoria Beckham, and Alexander Wang certainly agreed this season, and showed sophisticated looks that we added to our inspiration boards on Pinterest immediately.

Trend #3: That 70s Runway

Fringe and crochet… Anyone else having flashbacks to Woodstock? Tommy Hilfiger and BCBG Max Azria embraced their inner hippies and showed some killer crocheted looks, while Prabal Gurung and Christian Siriano were all about the fringe. And honestly, so are we.

Trend #4: OMG, we dye

Sticking with the 70s theme, tie-dye made a comeback this season on the runways of Thakoon and Altuzarra. Be suuuper cautious of this trend though, ladies, because it can easily be taken over board. Invest in one statement piece at your local boutique. Then, pare down the rest of your outfit, and let the tie-dye do the talking.
