MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE BEST DRESSED ATHLETES IN THE GAME

He’ll help you find the look that bests suits you.

How do we know? Because he does it for the best dressed athletes, musicians, rappers, and regular guys like you (or your fella, ladies) — and if you’ve ever seen their Instagrams, you’ll know he does it well.

The Man

Meet Ge Wang. He’s the owner of ESQ Clothing in Chicago’s West Loop. And he outfits the best-dressed guys in the locker room. He used to be an attorney, but on his quest to find the perfect suit for himself, he decided men’s fashion — and helping guys actually attain it — was much more his style.

The Clients

His first major NFL client, Bears running back Matt Forte, has been a huge supporter of ESQ from the beginning, often sporting his dapper duds on Instagram. But Wang’s roster of major clients doesn’t stop there. ESQ Clothing now suits up over 100 athletes from just about every three-letter league, and you can see the custom designs on players in about 60% of NFL locker rooms.

The Suits

So why suits? Why do these high-profile athletes care so much about a custom-made suit? A big reason (pun intended) is the size of most of these players. These guys work hard for their impressive bods, and rightfully want to show it off. But finding apparel that fits — really, truly fits — poses a challenge. A challenge that ESQ Clothing has solved with made-to-measure suits that are indeed made-to-measure. No matter the cut or silhouette the client wants.

Plus, these guys want to stand out. They’re not going to a board meeting; they’re going to press conferences and high-profile events. And even though these suits are one-and-done for most players (we wouldn’t want to be seen wearing the same outfit twice on TV either), it’s still all about the details.

We’re talking custom Skittles-printed lining, colors beyond the normal navys and grays, and studded smoking slippers that take these looks to a whole new level: Pro Athlete Level.

The Point

Now you’re thinking, “I’m not on the cover of magazines or in the starting lineup of an NFL team.” Yeah, neither are we, but ESQ Clothing also dresses normal sized guys like you.

You can snag off-the-rack shirts for $150 and suits starting at $1,250. Or you can channel your inner sports star and go the custom route — shirts for $200 and suits starting at $2,000.

For a chance to run into your favorite player? (The guys sometimes hang at the ESQ showroom). We think a bespoke suit is well worth it.
