Any excuse not to blow dry your own hair is a good excuse.
And today, we’re giving you six new excuses to shove that hairdryer back into the drawer.
You can thank us after your appointment.
Your appointment at this Lincoln Park finishing salon will be the highlight of your night… Because we all know that getting ready for a night out is usually the most fun part anyway. From the bangin’ blowouts, to the flawless makeup application, to the free champagne, golplaited is the perfect beautifying destination for any special occasion (or a day of self indulgence).
2. BLOWDRY! BLOWDRY BAR
Located in Uptown, Minneapolis, Blowdry! is the place that will convince you to never do your own hair again. Choose from any of their six signature blowout styles — we love The Blowdry — and add a braid for a little extra fun. And while you’re at the salon, be sure to take advantage of their brow and lash tinting services, because nothing ruins the perfect beauty look quite like weak brow game.
3. HAUTE AIR
Haute Air is more than a “boutique blow dry bar in the heart of Soho,” it’s a boutique blow dry bar in the heart of Soho that also offers expert haircut, coloring, extensions, and makeup services. It’s a one-stop shop for all your hair needs — whether it’s a fresh blowout for date night, or a complete makeover from root to tip.
4. SWINK STYLE BAR
Swink has all your typical blow dry bar services — blowouts, dry styles, updos, etc. — but our favorite, FAVORITE part of Swink Style Bar in Seattle is their $99 a month blowout membership. Membership includes 3 in-salon blowouts a month (which would cost $120 without membership), and you even receive a complimentary blowout on your birthday.
5. HAUTE BLOW DRY Bar
Standard blowouts at Haute Blow Dry take only 45 minutes (perfect for a lunch break touch up), and cost $40. But for a little extra, we suggest indulging in one of the blowout add-ons, whether you’re in need of split end repair, a conditioning treatment, or an extra long scalp massage. And a tip for the blowout addict: Buy a bunch of blowouts at once. You know you’re going to use them eventually, and you get to keep a little cash in your pocket for even more “treat yo self” activities.
Glowout was first put on the map for their nationally recognized airbrush tans, but we love that they added blowouts, braiding, and even nails to the menu. Blowouts typically last 3-4 days and are perfect for weeks when you just can’t be bothered, and Glowout’s braided upstyles are great for quick wedding prep, or for summer days when the idea of having hair on your neck makes you sweat before you even step out of the air conditioning. Summer is coming.
